Dark Corner Press/Lee Glenwright announce the release of Bad Day, a novel of dark fiction from author Lee Glenwright, available as a paperback and EPUB from July 11th 2025.
Sunderland, UK -- The fifth independently-published novel from author Lee Glenwright, Bad Day is a direct sequel to Glenwright’s previous novel, Meat Puppets: A Novel of Fragments, and is a dark thriller with the violence, suspense, social commentary, and flashes of dark humour that his readers have come to expect.
"It's a life of sorts, I suppose...”
Ed’s been having a rough time of it lately.
His girlfriend has recently left him, he’s behind on his rent, and a local drug dealer is the closest thing he has to a friend in the city
It was supposed to be a simple job: ditch the car, take the money, no questions asked. But the simple job just got a whole lot more complicated.
Loose ends always need to be tidied, and Ed’s day is about to get much worse…
Despite his choice of subject matter, Lee Glenwright insists that he is the nicest person called Lee Glenwright that you’re ever likely to meet. He is a writer of dark fiction and horror, based in Sunderland UK, where he lives with his family, far too many reptiles, and a dark sense of humour. His work has been published in several anthologies and magazines, notably Lovecraftiana Magazine (Rogue Planet Press), What Monsters do for Love Vol 1 (Soteira Press), O, Unholy Night in Deathlehem (Grinning Skull Press), Trigger Warnings: Hallucinations (Madness Heart Press), and Deadman Humour: 13 Fears of a Clown (Abstruse Press). In addition, he has independently published the novels, Mutt, Insatiable, Meat Puppets: a Novel of Fragments, and Penance, and the short fiction collections; Ripe, and Others, Little Wounds and Other Dark Tales, and The Voices in My Head Will Not Stop.
